A sword makes a clean cut. A diamond is shaped through careful polishing. Both are Metal; one highlights decisiveness, the other refinement.

One element, two ways to picture it
🗡️
The sword
庚 · Yang Metal
Picture a clear edge separating one thing from another. Yang Metal is a metaphor for directness, decisions and a firm sense of what is acceptable.
At its best
Naming the issue and making a clear choice.
When it goes too far
Being so quick to get to the point that the delivery becomes harder to hear than the message.
A growth question
Keep the clarity; soften the delivery.
Picture it in everyday life
The sword-like approach stops a meeting from going in circles. The stretch is explaining the reason for a decision rather than simply announcing it.
These metaphors offer reflection prompts, not a conclusion about how you actually behave. Yin/Yang expression is separate from Day Master strength.
The other elements in your story
Meet your supporting cast
When Metal is the Day Master, each element has a different symbolic job. This broad map is shared by both Yin and Yang Metal; polarity adds detail in a full reading.

A wealth theme is not proof of wealth or money-management skill. A learning theme is not proof of grades, and a responsibility theme is not proof of career success. Family and relationship readings need the rest of the chart.
Does your chart need more Metal?
You cannot tell from the Day Master alone. A chart may welcome more of an element, or already have more than it needs. “Favourable” describes that context, not an element that is good for everyone.
